Labels:text | screenshot OCR: We followed the captain to a clearing, bordered by some trees and a few delicate vines of plumularia that looked as though they were strategically placed there. We saw three mounds in the otherwise smooth, sandy ocean bottom. When the captain knelt down before these mounds, I realized what he meant by the "sanctity" of the expedition. This was a graveyard. Ned and the professor stood with me observing the poor captain. I assumed these were beloved crew members that had passed away. Read Panel
